What is GivePulse?
GivePulse is Widener’s online platform for connecting students with volunteer opportunities—ranging from one-time projects to ongoing service roles. It’s the easiest way to reach students who are eager to serve.
Examples of Opportunities:
- Tutoring or mentoring youth
- Supporting nonprofit events or fundraisers
- Providing design, marketing, or administrative help
- Assisting with community health initiatives
- Serving on local boards or advisory committees
Work-Study Eligibility
Some students are eligible to earn federal work-study wages through approved nonprofit service roles. The Center for Civic Engagement can help determine if your opportunity qualifies.
How to Create your GivePulse Account:
- Visit widener.givepulse.com.
- Select Join and select "login via Widener."
- Agree to terms of service.
- Complete your profile by connecting to all of the organizations, clubs, and sports teams you active with on campus.
How to Post your Volunteer hours on GivePulse:
- Log into your GivePulse account.
- Select Add Impact from your dashboard.
- Enter details (title, description, time commitment, location).
- Connect your volunteer hours to the group you completed the service with.
